NS 2 Marine
For Natural Selection 2 the team has talked about adding a female marine model, so I figured it would be a good opportunity to do a character concept and revisit some of the design elements from the concept I had done for the original game, that I was never happy with.
The 2 images below are possible variations for the helmet of the game models, to allow for some player customization. The one on the left is the full helmet, with a blue holographic HUD. On the right is the marine wearing just the basic computer/HUD module, with the idea that the additional armor plates that make up the helmet are snapped onto the base computer module. Since helmets are hot and uncomfortable, you often see soldiers in war films remove their helmets during lulls in combat. My concept was that the marines could snap off these armor plates in a similar fashion when they need a breather, or if they are just more of the "BadAss" type, and feel they don't need the full helmet.

Computer Terminal Pod
This is a concept for a prop, that would be used in levels created for the game, Natural Selection 2, currently in development. The basic idea was an adjustable pod that could be it's own mini "office" environment, complete with individual workstations, built in AC/Heat systems, monitoring equipment, and informational displays. It could be used as a stand alone prop or placed in a room full of them, or suspended over a catwalk , etc.

Ship designs
Some quick concept sketches for a spaceship design for the game Natural Selection. There is a gameplay map that takes place on a mining ship. This ship is controlled by humans who have access to advanced alien technology, and it's supposed to be insectoid in look. It latches onto floating asteroids, and drills them for various resources.
The design at the top of the page was the one that ended up being used.

Bloodbath
I was watching a documentary about Vampires on the Discovery Channel, and they had a segment on Elizabeth Bathory. She was a Hungarian Countess from the 16th century who was reputed to have put to death over 600 young virgin women, believing she could retain her youth by drinking and bathing in their blood.
Seems like a waste of 600 virgins, if you ask me.
